Motherplanet’s Earth Explorer is a useful application that helps you to understand, learn about, and research our beautiful planet Earth. You can explore the whole Earth with true-color satellite images at 40m/pixel resolution in a perspective window, just like flying over 36,000 kilometers above the earth on a satellite. Drag and rotate the global earth, zoom in and zoom out, or save your favorite pictures to the hard disk, all is perspective and so easy.Here are some key features of “Earth Explorer”:
В· 3D global view with 50m resolution satellite imagery and shaded relif DEM (digital elevation model) imagery convered entire earth;
В· Inlucde 267 countries and regions, 40000+ cities, 15000+ islands, 1700+ noteworthy historical earthquakes and vector layers includes political boundaries, coastlines, rivers, longitude-latitude grids;
В· Easy-to-use user interfaces;
В· Real-time loading of high resolution data to your desktop;
В· Enable addition to user-definable Place Marks, Paths and personal comments over places.
В· Measure and calculate distance and bearing between any two points, find a particular country, city, island by name;
