The game was conceived as an extension of movies. In fact, it replaces a third of the films, and tells us about the future fate of hunting for ghosts. The action takes place two years after the events of Ghostbusters II - Manhattan again besieging a variety of otherworldly beings. Fortunately, the citizens know whom to call when dealing with them.
